Get Well Soon Smoothie

 

I (along with about 10 other people I know) have been feeling a little under the weather this week and IT IS THE WORST! I am also the worst when I don't feel well, as I'm not a fan of sitting still, especially when I have a list a mile long of things I need to accomplish! Alas, here I am, taking a day to off to rest and recover. I believe a large aspect of treating yourself well is eating nutrient rich foods. So, as soon as I start feeling under the weather, I immediately reach for my favorite foods that are packed with immune system-boosting nutrients!

Technically, the jury is still out on how much we can actually "boost" our immune system. However, all of our body's systems function optimally when we are getting adequate amounts of exercise and rest, as well as regularly eating a well balanced diet full of the necessary vitamins and minerals! Consistency is key, and adding these foods to your diet on a regular basis will do your body some serious good!
