Why I Was Happy When My Client Quit
A couple of months ago, one of my clients decided to quit working with me. And this may sound crazy, but I can't tell you how happy it made me!
It wasn't that I didn't enjoy coaching her or that she was frustrated because she hadn't made progress, it was actually quite the opposite.
When we first met, she was stuck in a vicious cycle of setting the same goals, trying, and failing, and had lost quite a bit of her confidence. She’d already spent so much money purchasing all kinds of diet plans, workout programs, planners, and self-help books, but nothing seemed to stick. She was beyond frustrated and at a loss.
But once we started working together, and she began implementing my goal setting method (the one I'm going to teaching for FREE on Tuesday, January 16th), she started making progress. Before we knew it, she was meeting her goals like crazy. She created a regular habit of working out, didn't struggle to eat foods that supported how she wanted to feel, and she ended up losing 20 pounds without suffering or starving. She also started learning another language, something she'd wanted to do for years. It was as if nothing could get in her way!
So I wasn't surprised when she came to me and said, "Jen, I love working with you, but I've got it from here. I know what to do now." (Insert my eyes getting a little teary out of pride and me doing a happy dance). THIS is why I do what I do.
