Working with Jen has changed my mindset, and in two words she has shown me how to “BE INTENTIONAL”. While that means something different for everyone, for me it means how I approach my eating, my exercise, how I am on a day-to-day basis with my husband and my kids, and most importantly, how I approach being ME.
I contacted Jen initially to start a better at-home workout routine, to make sure I was eating properly, and simply because, well, I really liked her website. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and I would say my new story starts there. Before starting on medication for my RA, my goal was to be as healthy as possible. I thought healthy just meant what I eat and how I work out, but what I’ve learned from Jen is that it is much more. It’s a mindset. It’s being positive and mentally knowing I can do it. I've learned to set goals and feel the gratification of accomplishing them.
Through Jen, I’ve found myself again. Not a mom, a wife, or someone with a disease, but me, Brittany. I read again, I write again, I take time for myself and I don’t feel guilty. My relationship with myself has improved, and in turn, has helped me be a better wife, mother, and friend. It's also helped me to be more aware of gratitude. We can all be grateful for things, but now I am more intentional with what I'm grateful for.
Over the past three months, I've become more intentional with my goals, my food, my exercise, and who I want to be going forward. My story isn’t close to being over, and every time I end a session with Jen, I am thankful that I reached out to her, that I took a chance, and that now I know how to be a better me every single day.
