Dark Chocolate Cranberry-Nut Clusters
One of my favorite things to do is have friends over to cook together, watch movies (or tv shows that are too embarrassing to admit), and play games. It's a great way to try new recipes, save some money, and eat healthier! Not to mention, there really is something wonderful about spending time with your favorite people over a well prepared meal. I was first introduced to these dark chocolate clusters by one of my very best friends. We live in the same neighborhood and have cooked many dinners together (especially during last year's ice storm).
Since today is actually her birthday (Happy Birthday, Ave!), I thought I'd share my favorite healthy dessert of hers! Dark chocolate and cranberries both contain antioxidants, which boost our immune system and nourish our cells. Almonds and hazelnuts are wonderful sources of healthy fats and protein, which allow our body to properly function and efficiently burn fat! These are perfect to make for large quantities of people when you don't have a lot of prep time! They also don't make much of a mess, which keeps clean-up time to a minimum (hallelujah)!
I'll definitely be bringing these to the next gathering of family and friends! What's your go-to holiday recipe?
